Building Project On September 5th, 2000 the Perry Township Board of Trustees, realizing that the Perry Police Department facility in it's current configuration is grossly inadequate, made public notice that the Police Department was seeking an architectural firm to conduct an needs assessment of the current police facility. A needs assessment would be performed to determine whether the current facility could be refurbished or if a new facility was needed. The following is a list of items to be examined during the Needs Assessment:
Brandstetter, Carroll, Zofcin Inc., a Cleveland based architectural firm, was selected to complete the Needs Assessment.

NEEDS ASSESSMENT STUDY (Right click on Needs Assessment Study & choose Save Target As) November, 2001, the Perry Twp. Trustees decided to purchase 3 residential lots north of the existing police station for construction of the new department. January, 2002, all three properties for the new building were purchased by the Township for construction of the new police department. October, 2002, the Perry Twp. Trustees selected the architectural firm of Harris Day to design the new police facility. December, 2002, the Perry Twp. Trustees approved the initial plans for the new police department (see below). The artwork for the building exterior will be complete in the coming weeks. April, 2003, construction has begun.
We, the members of the Perry Twp. Police Department are looking forward to working in a new facility that will allow us to effectively and efficiently carry out the Mission, Vision and Values of our organization. Our current facility is obviously sub-standard in it's physical condition as well as in the amount of working space available for operations. We look forward to a facility that projects the professional image that our employees have earned. As soon as new information is available, it will be posted.
